Purpose
To update the Committee of the Whole on the Municipal Government Act (MGA) regulations that are newly created or under review by Alberta Municipal Affairs (AMA).
Summary
The MGA review has created a need for new and revised regulations. Attached is a list and summary, compiled by the AUMA, of the 57 new and revised regulations expected.
AMA has indicated approximately 30 of the regulations may be released in April, 2017 with additional bundles to follow throughout 2017. Administration will review the regulations as they are released and identify steps Parkland County may need to take to comply.
