Proposed Motion

That Council approve Fallis Community Association's Sustainability Grant - Major Capital application in the amount of $10,000 to be funded from Restricted Surplus - Recreation Facilities.

Purpose

As per Policy C-RP03, requests submitted under the Sustainability Grant - Major Capital are to be approved by Council.

 

Summary

Fallis Community Association is an active community association serving Fallis and surrounding area and plays host to a variety of events and facility rentals each year. Over the past few years the hall has addressed many of the smaller and cosmetic issues within the building and are now seeking financial support to address the larger project of replacing the aging roof and worn out flooring. Fallis Community Association will also be applying for additional funding through CFEP to fund the balance of the project.  Further details on the remainder of the request can be found in the Administrative Report and Grant Application which are attached.
