2. That Council give third reading to proposed Bylaw No. 2017-21.

Body

Administration Recommendation

Administration supports the proposed motions.

Purpose

Bylaw No. 2017-21 proposes to amend Map 2 (Land Use District Map) with Land Use Bylaw No. 20-2009 to redistrict a portion of Condominium Plan 1122441 Unit B, within SE-12-53-07-W5M, from the AGG-Agricultural General District to the BRR-Bareland Recreational Resort District.

Summary

The proposed redistricting changes the Land Use District of the subject lands from the AGG-Agriculture General District to BRR - Bareland Recreational Resort District.  This will allow for the land development for proposed Phase 5 of Trestle Creek Golf Resort, subject to the approval of the County's Subdivision Authority. Detailed review of the planning application is included within the attached Administrative Report. As of the date of Administration's Report, no written correspondence has been received from the Community in regards to the proposed redistricting.

Strategic Plan/Policy/Legal/Staff Implications:

The proposed amendment is consistent with the criteria established in Policy 3.20 of Municipal Development Plan No. 37-2007 which provides criteria for Bareland Recreational Resort Development.  The approved Trestle Creek Outline Plan provides enough flexibility to permit this small land use change to support Phase 5 development.
