That Council cancel the 2017 municipal tax levy against the church manse on Roll Number 1853002.

Administration Recommendation
Administration supports the cancellation of the 2017 municipal tax levy against the church manse as stated. Section 347 of the Municipal Government Act allows Council to defer, cancel, reduce or refund all or part of a tax, with or without conditions.
Purpose
Historically administration presents to Council each May consideration to cancel municipal tax levies against church manses. This particular church manse was not part of the original submission as we were unaware of the church manse until a representative from the church brough this to our atteniton. Investigation has been completed and confirmed a church manse exists at the Free Methodist Church for 2017.
Summary
Council may choose not to cancel the property tax levy and advise the church to pay the manse tax, or cancel a portion of the manse tax and advise the church to pay the balance of the taxes.
