Proposed Motion

That the appointment of Thomas Cole Christie, Lisa Chomyn, John Evjen, Karissa Fald, Kendra Kozdroski, Jo-Anne Maw, Alana Regier, Madison Rehm, Chad Ritter, Anders Schoepp, and Kirsten Wasylenchuk as Inspectors under the Weed Control Act as per Part 2, 7(1) and the Agricultural Pests Act as per Section 10 (1), of Alberta for 2018 be approved.

Purpose

These appointments allow the inspectors to enter private property, in the discharge of their duties, without the landowners consent

 

Summary

These appointments are required on a yearly basis and will expire at the end of the employment contract.  Precautions will be taken by all staff when entering private property to ensure that all equipment, etc. will be clean before entering or leaving a field.  Lisa Chomyn, John Evjen, Karissa Fald, Jo-Anne Maw, Alana Regier, Anders Schoepp, and Kirsten Wasylenchuk are returning employees.  Thomas Cole Christie, Kendra Kozdroski, Madison Rehm, and Chad Ritter are new this year.
