Purpose

The proposed amendments to Land Use Bylaw 2017-18 update terminology, resolve minor errors, and address procedural provisions related to the recent changes to the Municipal Government Act.

 

Summary

Bylaw 2018-09 is an omnibus text amendment to Land Use Bylaw 2017-18.  It is part of an overall strategy to ensure the Land Use Bylaw is effective in responding to development trends and community interest.  The bylaw also responds to changes to provincial legislation that directly affects land use bylaws in Alberta.  A summary of the proposed changes is provided in the attached administrative report.
