Administration Recommendation

Administration supports that Bylaw 2018-20 receive first reading, hold a public hearing, and to further receive second and third readings at this meeting.

 

Purpose

Proposed Bylaw 2018-20 is to ensure that the deficiencies in the Legend Estates Subdivision be rectified prior to reverting back to Country Residential districting.

 

Summary

Bylaw 2018-20 adds an additional 24 months to the repeal period of the Legend Estates Direct Control district. The current repeal period expires in October 2018 where the districting reverts back to Country Residential - before the subdivision deficiencies are addressed.

 

Strategic Plan/Policy/Legal/Staff Implications:

The proposed amendment is consistent with goals of Municipal Development Plan 2017-14, and no amendment to the MDP or any Area Structure Plans is required.
