Purpose
To obtain additional funding to support the annexation review process.
Summary
Over the past year, Administration has been working with a consultant on a strategy for the City of Spruce Grove's annexation proposal. In order to complete this work, additional funding is required. A portion of these funds will be used towards a cost shared mediator for Parkland County and City of Spruce Grove Annexation Committee to assist with the negotiation process that will lead to a more desirable outcome for both parties.
Therefore, Administration requests that Council approve $105,000 for consulting work pertaining to the City of Spruce Grove's Annexation proposal to be funded by the Long-Term Sustainability Reserve.
