Purpose

To present Committee of the Whole with an update of the of the Smart Cities Challenge application.

 

Summary

Parkland County and it's partnering municipalities were selected in 2018 as Smart Cities Challenge finalists. They were awarded $250,000 to create a final application and have the opportunity to compete for 10 million dollars. Each finalist has a one in five chance at the final prize. The final application will be submitted on March 5, 2019 with prize announcements to be made in late spring 2019.
