Purpose

The purpose of Bylaw 2019-07 is to impose a local improvement tax for base course and asphaltic cold mix surfacing within Ashwood Meadows country residential subdivision.

 

Summary

Council received notification on June 26, 2018, of an acceptable local improvement petition requesting that it undertake and complete base course and asphaltic cold mix surfacing within Ashwood Meadows country residential subdivision, located within NE-18-53-01-W5.

 

The proposed work within Ashwood Meadows Country Residential Subdivision is included within the approved 2019 capital work program. As per Policy C-EN01, the landowners are required to pay 100% of the total cost of the project. There are 15 residential parcels and 1 Municipal Reserve parcel which equally share the estimated cost of $125,008 for surfacing.

Bylaw 2019-07 is in accordance with County Policy C-EN01 and Section 263 of the Municipal Government Act.
