Purpose

Administration received a valid petition against the petition presented to Council for information for local improvement surfacing at 51310 Range Road 261, SE-23-51-26-W4M.

 

Summary

October 9, 2018, administration presented to Council a valid local improvement surfacing petition located at 51310 Range Road 261. Engineering Services contacted the affected landowners of the valid petition.  Since administration's contact with the landowners of the valid petition for local improvement surfacing, the landowners submitted an additional petition against the local improvement surfacing petition. In accordance with Section 396 of the Municipal Government Act, residents within the local improvement area are able to file a petition objecting the surfacing. Legislative Services has reviewed the petition from the residents against the local improvement and confirms it to be valid and that the original petition for local improvement surfacing is no longer valid. In accordance with Parkland County Road Surfacing - Country Residential Policy C-EN01, residents of 51310 Range Road 261 are eligible to reapply after one year from the date of April 17, 2019 of which the valid petition against the local improvement surfacing petition was received by Parkland County.

 

The local improvement surfacing located at 51310 Range Road 261, SE 23-51-26-W4M is now removed from the 2019 Road Program.
