2. That Bylaw 2019-01 receive second reading.

Administration Recommendation

Administration supports the motions as presented.

 

Purpose

To amend relevant sections of Land Use Bylaw 2017-18 to accommodate a wider range of economic activities related to the cannabis industry.

 

Summary

On April 9th, 2019, a scheduled Public Hearing was opened to hear public comment on proposed Bylaw 2019-01. Council approved amendments to the Bylaw, as proposed by Administration.  Following the adjournment of the Public Hearing, Administration considered comments heard from Council and the general public on the proposed bylaw. A detailed review of the comments has led to additional recommended amendments to the bylaw as proposed in Attachment 6 - Table of Proposed Amendments. These further amendments are for Council's consideration following the closing of the public hearing.
