Purpose
To update the Committee on the results of the first phase of public engagement and adjustments made to the next steps of the project plan.
Summary
A qualitative survey or interview process was provided to a small group of hamlet community champions, organizations, and businesses. The results of this survey concluded that this cohort feels a strong sense of connection to their particular hamlet and an overall high level of satisfaction with County services. It also demonstrated a lack of understanding or awareness in what services are provided by the County versus external parties. Based on these results, adjustments have been made to delay the next stage of engagement while we move forward with communicating key messaging to the hamlet communities and initiative the internal service analysis. This intent is that these steps will provide more validity to the process and results of future engagement.
