Proposed Motion
That proposed Land Management Policy C-AD53 be received for information, as presented.

Body
Administration Recommendation
Administration supports that the Committee of the Whole receive for information Land Management Policy C-AD53; and, that administration be directed to present Policy C-AD53 to Council for consideration.

Purpose
Policy C-AD53 is a policy developed to align the municipality with the strategic goals of Council and to guide the acquisition, management and disposal of County land assets in an efficient, transparent and responsible manner.

Summary
Proposed Policy C-AD53, sets the foundation for the management of the County’s titled land assets. This policy has been drafted to coincide with the current recommended policy format and structure. Brownlee LLP have reviewed and approved the draft policy as currently presented.
Upon approval of Policy C-AD53, a formal Land Management Directive will be finalized. The Directive will outline the internal processes for the land activities identified within the Land Management Policy. Through the policy and future directive, we can ensure that all land related requests are treated in a consistent manner while ensuring compliance to all relevant legislation, such as the MGA, Public Land Act and Water Act.
As part of the process of developing the policy, Municipal Land Management met with internal stakeholders to discuss current processes, procedures and policies as well as determine a combined vision for the management of County titled land assets. Based on the initial meetings, Policy C-AD53 was drafted. To ensure complete transparency; stakeholders were given the opportunity to review, comment and make recommendations to the policy.
