Administration supports the City of Spruce Grove annexation update.
Purpose
To provide an update on the status of the City of Spruce Grove annexation.
Summary
Parkland County received the official Order in Council No. 381/202 from the Municipal Government Board (MGB) on December 18, 2020 approving the application for annexation of certain lands to the City of Spruce Grove. The lands are outlined in Schedule 2 of the attachment.
Parkland County staff are working with the City of Spruce Grove on transition of files and other pertinent information, as required.
Division 2 Councillor Jackie McCuaig's tenure with Parkland County ended on December 31, 2020. We wish Councillor McCuaig all the best in her future endeavours. Plans are underway to have Division 1 Councillor AnnLisa Jensen and Division 4 Councillor Darrell Hollands provide support to Division 2 residents up until the October 2021 municipal election.
