Purpose

The 2020 Parkland County Agriculture Bursaries have been awarded as per Council Policy C-AD 25.

Summary

Parkland County supports a strong and vibrant agriculture industry by providing up to five bursaries annually.  The bursaries are for residents of Parkland County enrolled in a post secondary program related to agriculture.  The intent of the bursaries is to support a strong and educated workforce for the agriculture industry.

The Agriculture Service Board selected the 2020 bursary at the November 4, 2020 meeting.  The 2019 bursary recipients were awarded the bursary at the Producer Dinner.  Due to gathering restrictions, the Producer Dinner was cancelled for 2020.  The 2020 bursary recipients will be acknowledged through social media posts, information on the website and by the presentation to Council on January 12, 2021.
